The common fruit fly is currently one of the most popular model organisms in molecular biology. Are these the same creatures that populate the fruit basket at home? At one of our hands-on stations, we will be happy to tell you about current fruit fly research at the University of Graz and how it can change the appearance of flies.
You can also pipette like a pro at this station: different liquids can be pipetted with the pipette. Not everything can be absorbed equally well. You will find out why this is the case during the practical experience.
